Lola Basiliere (she/her/hers) is a sound designer and theater-maker based in New York City. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Lola takes pride in her ability to cultivate an artistic community in any location and deep aversion towards the Yankees.

Committed to continuous education on artistic process, Lola centers open deliberation and team building at the heart of her work. She is passionate about remaining a student on the subjects of craft and discipline.

Lola studied at NYU - receiving her BFA in Drama with concentrations in sound design and dramaturgy at Tisch School of the Arts and BA in English and American Literature with concentrations in literary theory and creative writing at the College of Arts and Sciences - and can truthfully say that the city is her campus.

Her designs have been heard across lower Manhattan and Brooklyn, working in spaces such as The Brick, The Chain, Here Arts Center, The Heights Players Theater, and The Tank. Having been involved in several devised play processes, Lola is a generative designer who leads with dramaturgy, linguistics, and care for production. Lola seeks out new works and adaptations that push theatrical boundaries and will invite audience members to confront and connect with the environment and systems around them.
